Planting Potatoes
We helped Mrs Warburton plant potatoes in the garden near the junior playground. We have to look after them and hopefully they will be ready in about sixty days! Here is a slideshow....

Making Vegetable Soup
Last week we all peeled, scraped and grated potatoes and carrots. We added some spices and the pot went on the stove. Later we all enjoyed the delicious vegetable soup with French loaf. Thank you Mrs Warburton for her help! Please watch our slideshow.

Term 2
Move and Groove
We have been very busy practising our dance for Move and Groove which will be held in week 11. The children are dancing to the song, "Purple People Eater." All costumes will be provided at this stage. However if you have any left- over purple hair spray from the disco, we will put it to good use!

Wakaaranga Creek
We used all our five senses-smelling, taste, touch, sight and hearing when we visited the Wakaaranga Creek area recently. Here are some pictures of our visit.

Term 1

We went on stage to present "The Story of Billy Bug." Billy Bug thought the sky was falling so he went to tell the Prime Minister. On the way he met the Cricky Crickets, Fairy Fireflies, Crawly Caterpillars, Buzzy Bees and Lovely Ladybirds. Spotty Spider wanted to eat all the minibeasts but got caught in his own web! Here is the slideshow of our assembly.

We had a wonderful trip to Butterfly Creek. A special thank you to all the parent helpers for making this such a special day for everyone!
Have a look at a slideshow of the trip below.

Please book an appointment for parent interviews on either 29th or 31st of March.

All the Year Ones will be visiting Butterfly Creek on Wednesday 16th March. Please ensure you have completed the reply slip and returned it with payment by Friday 11th March. Thank you.

Your child will require an old shirt to use when doing art work. Please send to school as soon as possible.
Here is a video of scientists at work. We are studying minibeasts and the children enjoyed a wonderful afternoon with Mrs Warburton looking for and identifying minibeasts found in the compost bin.
